It wasn’t until about a year ago that I became hooked on podcasts.  Once I realized how easy they were to download for free and that you could listen to them at any point without needing wifi, I was in.  I listen to them when I’m on the train/subway (you don’t need service!), in the car on long road trips and even at the gym on the treadmill.  Here are my top 6 go-to podcasts I enjoy listening to regularly.

Happy Listening!

HAPPIER WITH GRETCHEN RUBIN//I am a huge fan of Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project.  I read it a few years back and was so excited to find that she and her sister have a podcast.  I find each podcast to be a mini lesson about small changes you can make every day to improve you happiness and it just feels good for the soul to hear.  I enjoy listening and feel so motivated and ready to implement something new after each episode.  Also worth noting, they sprinkle in 2 minute little podcasts that are perfect for when you don’t have a lot of time but need that quick pick-me-up!

Recommended Episode: Ep. 70 – Advice

BITCH SESH//If you are a Real Housewives fan, you absolutely have to listen to this podcast.  Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider are not only hilarious as they recap each Real Housewives episode, but they say exactly what you were thinking while you were watching and follow along just as closely as you do at home.  I can’t wait to hear what they are thinking each week and never miss an episode.

Recommended Episode: ((Based off of what you’re watching, each episode coincides with your viewing.))

HOW I BUILT THIS WITH GUY RAZ: NPR//This podcast is fascinating to me.  I love hearing how businesses were built and how they have grown to where they are now, both small and large.  HIBT interviews some of the top companies and dives into how it all began.  So great.

Recommended Episode: Sara Blakely: Spanx

GIRL BOSS//I absolutely cannot get enough of hearing the stories behind strong, successful women who have made their mark.  Sophia Amoruso sits down one #GirlBoss after another as they share their stories and advice while rising to the top.  This is the type of podcast that excites me and inspires me and is back after taking a brief hiatus.

Recommended Episode: Brit Morin, Founder of Brit + Co

HERE’S THE THING WITH ALEC BALDWIN//When I first heard Alec Baldwin had a podcast, I was unsure what to expect.  Given he’s a comedian, I assumed this would be outlandish and comical, but instead, Alec takes a more studious and curious take on his interviews and asks all of the questions we’re thinking at home.  He has such a calming voice and has gained the inside scoop from some amazing names, making for an informative listen.

Recommended Episode: Howard Schultz (Starbucks) or Lorne Michaels (SNL)

HOW TO BE AMAZING WITH MICHAEL IAN BLACK//Black does a great job interviewing his guests and getting down to all the info we want to know about how one truly molds his/her passions into a future career.  His interview with Ina Garten made me want drop everything and go buy a bakery in the Hamptons.

Recommended Episode: Ina Garten
