I absolutely love turkey chili! It’s easy, healthy and delicious and you can whip it up in under 15 minutes and have it ready just in time to kick back and watch football on a Sunday with friends! This recipe here is one I have been using for years now, and the beauty of chili is that you can really add (or eliminate) any ingredients you’d like! Enjoy!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Dutch Oven/Large Sauce Pan (I use this one)
2tbs olive oil
I carrot, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1lb Turkey Meat
2 (15 oz.) cans of kidney beans, rinsed
1 (15 oz.) can of black beans, rinsed
I (15 oz.) can crushed tomato
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
Optional: Chili and Garlic Powder to taste, Greek Yogurt for topping
LET’S DO THIS:
Over high heat, add olive oil, onion, carrot and red pepper to Dutch Oven. Cook until onions are translucent.
Add turkey meat and any additional seasonings for flavor now. Cook until meat is browned.
Add all beans, crushed tomatoes and sauce. Stir and let simmer for approximately one hour.
Serve and garnish with Green Yogurt, if desired.
