I have been making a serious effort to read for pleasure this summer and I have so many perfect summer beach reads to share with you today!

I absolutely LOVE a good beach read.  There is nothing more relaxing to me than getting engrossed in an easy book sitting on the beach or by the pool every weekend during the summer.

Take note below and grab one for these last few weeks of sweet summertime, I promise you will breeze right through them!   Fair warning, more than one of these books is by the same author (Elin Hilderbrand)…once I started I couldn’t get enough!

Enjoy!!

THE RUMOR by Elin Hilderbrand

I read The Rumor in less than two days.  If you’re not familiar with Elin Hilderbrand, I insist you read her books now!  She is a native of Nantucket and all of her books are based there and make you feel like you are stepping off the ferry right into each novel.  She’s incredible.  This book was a quintessential beach read.  I loved all of the characters and the way this story unravels, testing relationships of all kinds.  So good!

LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE by Celeste Ng

I had been dying to read Little Fires Everywhere.  I will be the first to admit that anything Reese Witherspoon recommends, I am onboard.  This was a bit of departure from my usual summer chick-lit and had some more meat to it and did not disappoint.

SILVER GIRL by Elin Hilderbrand

Silver Girl!  I had bought this book probably a year earlier and kept putting off reading it because of how much longer and thicker it was than most.  Well, it was worth the wait!! Despite being one of Hilderbrand’s longest novels, it was one of the best! The story will keep you hooked until the very end. Hilderbrand delivers every time and I can’t get enough!

ISLAND GIRLS by Nancy Thayer

Since I admitted my obsession for Hilderbrand, I was recommended to give Nancy Thayer a try (also a big Nantucket writer.)  I was so happy I did!  Thayer has the same charm of writing the perfect beach read and Island Girls was my very first taste and I would highly recommend!

What are you reading this summer?  I love your recommendations, so please fire away!
P.S.  Some of my other book favorites and my favorite podcasts.
